Schuyler Police investigators were following up on leads from interviews with the community, and developed a suspect in that fatal hit and run crash over the weekend. The suspect was found to own a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle in this fatality crash. The owner of the vehicle was identified as 62-year-old Daniel Reynoso of Columbus, Nebraska.
Schuyler Police Department investigators, while working with the Columbus Police Department, located a Ford F-150 pick up with damage consistent with debris left at the scene of this crash. The pick up was located near the suspect Daniel Reynoso’s residence in Columbus. Daniel Reynoso was located around 1:26 p.m. by Platte County Deputies in Lindsay, Nebraska. During a mirandized interview with Daniel he acknowledged he was in an accident and made admissions that he fled the scene.
Schuyler Police then served a search warrant at 3052 48TH Ave Trailer #13 in Columbus, Ne and recovered Daniel Reynoso’s White 2005 Ford F150. Daniel Reynoso was arrested and remanded to Platte County Jail for Failure To Stop and Render AID/Serious Injury or Death and Tampering with physical evidence. The victim, in that hit and run, 49 year old Abreham Michael Beyene of Schuyler.
