The Mayor of West Point has decided to step down, leaving his position open on the ballot for the upcoming election next week. Two write in candidates are interested in the non-partisan Mayor’s seat – One, Alex Norton, the other, Keith Hugo. Alex Norton stopped by the news center today and tells us why he’s running as a write in candidate for Mayor of West Point:
Norton says he hopes to draw more businesses to the area, which in turn, will provide more sales tax revenues – which will help the city grow and provide more options and more opportunity. More information can be found on Alex Norton’s Facebook Page. KTIC Radio will have information on the other write-in candidate, Keith Hugo in newscasts for Wednesday.
