This Friday, October 23rd is the last day you can request an early voting ballot and in -person voter registration or request a mail in ballot. Voters are reminded to bring an accepted form of ID with them. Those ID’s are listed on the Secretary of State’s website – sos.nebraska.gov, look under “elections”
If you have yet to vote, a sample ballot can be found at cumingcountyne.gov/wp. Those who have filed will be listed on that ballot. Write in candidates will not show. For example, on that ballot, it will note under “City of West Point” for Mayor, vote for one. Followed by the term “No Filing”. Two write in candidates last week expressed their desire to be considered for the position- Keith Hugo and Alex Norton. More information on those two write in candidates can be found on their respective social media.
