Roger Tranmer, 66, of Tekamah


Roger Kevin Tranmer was born to Harlan and Marlene (Modlin) Tranmer on March 7, 1960, in Oakland, Nebraska. He passed away on July 14, 2026, at home in Tekamah after a lingering illness.

The family moved to the Tranmer family farm in 1964, where Roger enjoyed farming and taking care of the farm animals. He received his grade school education at the 6-R school and attended high school in Tekamah.

Roger enjoyed making people laugh by telling jokes or breaking out in a little ditty. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool.

Survivors include his sister, Wynelle Morrow of Tekamah; son, Drew Tranmer; daughter, Kaj Walsted; grandkids, Bridgette, Breanna, and Jak all of Sioux City, IA; nieces, April Tranmer of CO, Heather and Amber; great-niece, Ryann; and great-nephews, Sterling and Jameson, all of Tekamah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allen.

Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
