July 15, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) — During the month of June 2026, twenty-one people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
These 21 fatalities occurred in 19 fatal crashes.
Six of the fifteen vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, six were using a seatbelt, and
three had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.
Twelve of the fatalities were in rural locations.
There were two fatalities on the interstate, twelve on other highways, and seven on local roads.
Four of the fatalities were motorcyclists.
One of the fatalities was a pedestrian.
One of the fatalities was driving a utility terrain vehicle (UTV).
One of the fatalities was a bicyclist.
