Nebraska rodeo athletes continued a busy summer schedule with wins at the Bertrand, Sutherland and Stuart rodeos, while several competitors found success on the professional rodeo trail.
At Bertrand, Koldtyn Heath won bareback riding, Trevor Cox and Dawson Doggett shared the steer wrestling title, and Levi Haines claimed the bull riding. Mark Halliday topped saddle bronc riding, while Brittni Bradley won the barrel racing.
Sutherland winners included Karson Harris in bareback riding, Lane Morrow in steer wrestling, Jessica McMaster in breakaway roping and Chip Wilson in tie-down roping. Camden Hoelting and Kash Yaussi won the team roping, while Luke Blanton claimed the steer roping average title.
At the Stuart Rodeo, Tate Miller won bareback riding, Amanda Sellin topped breakaway roping and Brent Hurlburt claimed tie-down roping. Sutton Schrunk won both saddle bronc riding and bull riding, while Ora Taton captured the steer roping average.
On the professional rodeo trail, Garrett Shadbolt continued his strong summer with top finishes at the St. Paul Rodeo in Oregon, Mandan Rodeo Days in North Dakota and the Calgary Stampede. Riley Pruitt added multiple tie-down roping checks, including a round win at Mandan Rodeo Days, while Tucker Ravenscroft and Rhett Witt also posted strong steer wrestling performances.
