Jeremy “Jerry” Brown, 56, left this earthly life and entered his eternal home in heaven on July 2nd, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 19th, 1970, to Don and Elieen (Osborne) Brown, in Atkinson, NE.
Jerry grew up west of Atkinson, NE and attended country school at District 180 through 8th grade. He graduated from West Holt High School in Atkinson. He attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln until the lure of farming with his father and brother led him back home.
Jerry spent his life doing what he loved most; farming the land, caring for his family, and building friendships everywhere he went. A dedicated farmer through and through, he was known for his strong work ethic, his willingness to help a neighbor, and the pride he took in a hard day’s work. Farming wasn’t just what he did; it was who he was.
Above all else, Jerry loved his family. He leaves behind his wife Jayma of 30 years and his two sons Cameron James and Keenan Reed who were the pride and joy of his life. He loved his family deeply and the memories they shared together will be cherished forever.
If you knew Jerry, you also knew that he never met a stranger. He was the kind of man who could walk into a room and make it brighter just by being there. He loved to laugh, tell stories, and bring people together. Whether it was a gathering with family, a night with friends over a cold Busch Light, or a chance meeting with someone new, he was often the life of the party—always ready with a smile, a joke, and a good time.
He loved deeply, lived fully, and left an impression on everyone lucky enough to know him. Though his life was cut far too short, those who loved him will remember not only the struggles he faced, but the generous heart, the loyal friendship, and the joy he brought to so many. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his love of farming, and the way he made people feel welcome and valued.
On the day God called Jerry home the world welcomed his first grandchild. Karsyn Ann was born approximately one hour before his death. Although he never held her in his arms, he will forever hold her in his heart.
