One person was arrested Thursday in Columbus as part of Immigration and Customs Enforcement action.
On Thursday morning, the Columbus Police Department Facebook page posted that CPD was aware of the presence of ICE in the community. ICE’s presence in the town was to contact subjects who had failed to comply with previously issued deportation orders. Later in the afternoon, another post announced that ICE actions were complete, and one person was detained.
The person detained was a convicted sex offender who had been previously deported. No other information was released by Columbus Police or by ICE.
