The Cuming County Board of Supervisors met at the Courthouse in West Point Wednesday afternoon. Dean Britt gave the Board of Supervisors an update with drone pictures of the progress on the Wisner Bridge project. Dean is the onsite Project Manager with Mainelli Wagner which is the Engineering Company overseeing the bridge construction. The project is proceeding on time with completion of the last pier before the end of July. The next step will be placing the precast girders on the piers. The road going south of Wisner will remain one lane until these are in place. The hope is by early August that traffic can return to two lanes again. The County reminds motorists to be patient and cautious when going through this work area.
