The West Point-Beemer School Board met for their regular monthly meeting in the School’s Media Center Monday night. Superintendent DJ Weddle provided an update on the School’s Summer Lunch Program.
Weddle says the School District is offering meals for both Breakfast and Lunch.
All the meals are free to anyone ages 1-18.
Weddle says the meals are grab and go.
Pick up Points include the Old Beemer Elementary School, Grace Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran School, North Main and Sonneschein Street, Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers, Neligh Park, Sherman and Farragut, Trinity Church, Schuetze Transportation, South Trailer Court, and Elaine’s Addition.
The program started on June 2nd and runs through July 31st with a week off the week of the 4th.
Weddle says people can sign up for meals on the school’s website, wpcadets.org.
Weddle provided the latest on the Press Box and Preschool as it pertains to potential work done by Clark and Enersen.
Weddle says Summer School gets underway for the Elementary at 9:00 Tuesday morning, and almost 90 kids are signed up, adding that Summer School is already underway for the High School.
The board set meal prices for the 2026-2027 School Year.
The Board will next meet on Monday, July 13th at 6:30 p.m.
