Kenneth Wuestewald, 68, of West Point, died Monday, May 25, 2026 at CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. A private family service will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to West Point American Legion Baseball. Arrangements by Stokely Funeral Home.
Kenneth Lynn Wuestewald was born September 24, 1957, in West Point to August and Mary Ann (Recker) Wuestewald. He grew up in West Point and graduated from West Point Central Catholic High School in 1976.
Ken was a talented athlete and especially loved baseball and softball. He was a standout player and helped lead the West Point Legion Baseball team to a State Title in 1974, a proud accomplishment he carried with him throughout his life.
On September 3, 1983, Ken married Patrice Clausen at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. The couple later divorced.
Ken worked a variety of jobs over the years, including at IBP, local car dealerships, and most recently at Pizza Hut. He was a sports fan through and through, especially when it came to baseball. He faithfully followed the Cincinnati Reds, Dallas Cowboys, and Nebraska Huskers. Ken also enjoyed trips to the casino and never passed up a chance to watch his favorite movie, Grease.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Laura (Dustin) Jamison of Lincoln and their son, Daxtyn; son, Nathan of Kearney; siblings, Lori Heller of West Point, Tami (Brian) Hilgenkamp of Arlington, Kevin (Julie) Wuestewald and Todd (Jen) Wuestewald, all of West Point; sister-in-law, Brenda Wuestewald of Sioux City, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Isabella and Braylin Jamison; and brothers, David and Bob Wuestewald.
