May 21, 2026 (Norfolk, Neb.) — Work is expected to start on June 1st, weather permitting, on Highway 20 from Laurel to Highway 116 from reference post 391.33 to reference post 399.15, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Constructors Inc., of Lincoln, is the contractor for the project. Work includes concrete patching, bridge replacement, bridge repair and asphalt pavement. Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals and flaggers. The project is expected to be done in late spring 2027. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
