Marcella (Sally) Woerman, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at the age of 102 years.
Marcella was born in West Point, NE, on January 14, 1924, to Frank and Lena Herman.
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Marion Woerman; parents; sister Dorothy Flores; brother Vernon Herman; and son-in-law William D. Galbraith (Marla).
She is survived by her children Marla Galbraith of Edmond, OK, Sharon (Don) Baumert of Lincoln, NE, Dean (Carol) Woerman of West Point, Gary Woerman of Oakland, NE, Loy (Ali) Woerman of North Bend, NE, Joy (Dave) Schroedter of West Point, and David Woerman of Lincoln; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Marcella attended district #15 grade school. She graduated from Guardian Angels Catholic School in 1941. During WWII she worked at Windcharger in Sioux City, IA, and at the ASCS office in West Point.
On November 25, 1947, Marcella and Marion Woerman were married. They farmed east of West Point for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.
Music has been a constant source of joy for her. Marcella loved all types of music. She collected and played many instruments. Among them were piano, mandolin, button accordion, ukulele, autoharp, guitar, violin, and harmonica. During the WWII era, she played guitar and sang on local radio.
Always independent, she was able to care for her home and acreage well into her 90s. She loved gardening and caring for her many spruce trees.
She also had a talent for writing poetry and loved collecting stamps.
Marcella will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her love of nature and music will live on in our hearts.

MEMORIAL VISITATION: Tuesday, 6:00-7:00 pm, with ROSARY at 7:00 pm at the church
BURIAL: St. Michael’s Cemetery in West Point
