Man sentenced after child sexual assault conviction in Lincoln County

A 44-year old man who was convicted of child sexual assault charges across three counties has been sentenced in one of his cases.

Robert Aue Jr. of Dix was sentenced Monday in Lincoln County District Court to 30-40 years in prison for 1st-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.

He had faced similar charges in Boone and Madison Counties, and was also facing charges in Colfax County.

However, court records say he took a global plea deal, in which he pled no contest to three counts of 1st-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, one count of Attempted 1st-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, and one count of 3rd-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in Lincoln, Madison, and Boone Counties.

No charges will be filed in a case he was involved with in Colfax County as part of the plea deal.

The crimes Aue was convicted of across his cases involved at least three victims.

According to an arrest affidavit in the Lincoln County case, investigators met with a victim in late August 2024.

She reported that she was sexually assaulted by Aue in February 2024, when the victim was under 10 years old.

The affidavit says the victim disclosed four other occasions where Aue would sexually assault her at her home in North Platte.

Aue is scheduled to be sentenced in Madison County on May 15th, and in Boone County on June 2nd.
