The West Point City Council met in regular session in City Council Chambers Tuesday evening. City Administrator Tom Goulette says the council reviewed and approved an agreement with JEO for the West Point North Levee Feasibility Study.
Goulette says it will probably never be part of the Core Levee Program, but they will help with assistance and everything and bring the area out of the flood plain.
The council also held discussion of paving of Washington St./H Road, which is tied into the Rivermist Subdivision Project.
Goulette provided an update on the Rivermist Subdivision project, saying it is coming along nicely.
Goulette says the council also reviewed and approved an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Cuming County, the City of Wisner, and Villages of Beemer and Bancroft for Enhanced 911 Emergency Telephone Service, which is extending that agreement that expired a few years ago.
Goulette expects the Pool to open up sometime towards the end of this month.
The next council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd at 5:30 p.m.
