Lois “Jean” Glock, 89, of David City, died Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Brookestone of David City.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Rising City, Nebraska with Rev. David Palomaki Officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kracl Funeral Chapel, David City. Committal in the church cemetery. Lunch in the Church basement following committal. Memorials to the family for future designation. Kracl Funeral Chapel of David City is in charge of arrangements.
Lois “Jean” Glock was born October 22, 1936, in David City, to Richard and Helen (Casement) Hinze. She attended David City Public Schools and graduated in 1954. Jean then attended Lincoln General School of Nursing graduating in 1957. On August 18, 1957 Jean was united in marriage to Lowell “Bud” Glock at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She had worked as a nurse at Schuyler and David City hospitals and also for a short time as nurse at David City Schools. Jean enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and especially enjoyed her pets. She was also very proud of her profession. She is a member of Immanuel lutheran church, and a lifelong David City area resident.
Jean is survived by her children Bruce (Annette) Glock of Rising City, Delaine “Dolly” (John) Yindrick of Lincoln. Grandchildren Christopher Glock, Cassie (Travis) Urbach, Alex and Ally Yindrick. Twin great grandsons Baylor and Benson Urbach, sister IreneThomassen of Lincoln, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell, infant twin sisters, brother-in-law Tom Thomassen, niece Sara Honnor.
