Earlier today, law enforcement was called to Winnebago Public Schools after a BB gun that resembled a realistic fire arm was found in an outside trash receptacle – that BB gun was spotted by a student and the student turned it in to the teacher immediately. School officials examined security camera footage and found that the bb gun was brought to the playground after school the previous day. Superintendent Kamau Turner reiterated that firearms and replicas are not permitted on school grounds. That bb gun was not loaded.
