Dinklage applications were approved by the Cuming County Board of Supervisors to send on to the Foundation as follows: Alumni Scholarships request of $186,000 and local Scholarships of $86,000 for Graduating Seniors from the West Point/Beemer, Bancroft and GA Central Catholic. The program has been an ongoing commitment to help students with post-secondary schooling costs. The Bridge requested support for the Cuming County Survivor Crisis Response Program for $2000 to help with victims of domestic violence in the county and the West Point Soccer Organization requested $3000 for equipment for their program. Jeanette Norton, District Court Clerk, requested some changes to District/County Offices in the Courthouse. This includes a self-locking door so access cannot be freely gained to the office. The primary goal is to secure the safety of the employees who work in that office. The Board of Supervisors will next meet on Wednesday, October 28th at 1:00 p.m.
