The 7th Judicial District may soon be looking for a new county court judge. Judge Ross Stoffer announced his retirement, effective October 31st. Stoffer has served in that seat for 20 years. The state Judicial Resources Commission is slated to meet November 13th to check over caseloads and decide whether to fill that vacancy. This according to Nebraskajudical.gov. The 7th Judicial District consists of Stanton, Cuming, Pierce, Wayne, Knox, Antelope and Madison Counties.
