Power outages in our area due to thunderstorms are now history. Cuming County Public Power says the day started with 500 outages across it’s service territory, 15 broken poles and several power lines down from fallen trees. Linemen have been working since 4am. By late morning, about half of those outages were resolved according to CCPD spokesperson Nikki White. By late afternoon, all power was restored, as is evidenced by KTIC coming back on air (power failure at our transmitter)
