Nebraska farmers and ranchers will have several opportunities in the coming weeks to receive free, confidential financial and legal guidance through a series of Farm and Ranch Finance Clinics.
The clinics are offered through the Negotiations Program, a farm mediation service working in partnership with Legal Aid of Nebraska.
Each clinic provides farmers, ranchers, and their families with a private, one-on-one session with an experienced agricultural law attorney and an agricultural finance counselor. Sessions typically last about an hour and allow participants to discuss issues affecting their individual operations.
Topics may include estate and succession planning, farm finances, beginning farmer programs, real estate and lease agreements, fence law, property rights, farm loans, debtor and creditor law, and other operational concerns.
The clinics have been offered in Nebraska since 1989 and are designed to give agricultural producers access to an experienced outside perspective on legal and financial questions.

- Alliance — Tuesday, August 11
- Ogallala — Tuesday, August 11
- Scottsbluff — Wednesday, August 12
- Norfolk — Tuesday, August 25
- Fairbury — Tuesday, September 1
- Broken Bow — Tuesday, September 15
- Norfolk — Tuesday, September 29
The clinics are free, but appointments are required.
