A new subdivision near Elkhorn Drive and Diers Parkway in Fremont was approved by the Fremont City Council earlier this week – this could pave the way for a new Veteran’s Administration Clinic in the Eastern part of the city. City officials say the clinic will be privately owned and then leased to the VA. Fremont Council members unanimously approved the measure, with some saying the proposed clinic will fill a gap for veterans in the area that may have challenges in getting to clinics in Omaha and Lincoln. City of Fremont’s executive assistant and grant coordinator, Angie Olsen, says the clinic is just one more piece to Fremont’s growth.
