While the Cuming County Fair officially kicks off this Thursday, there’s still plenty of activity going on at the Fair Grounds in West Point. Tomorrow and Wednesday, 4-H activities begin. Decorating booths starts at 9am, entries for all 4-H exhibits, excepting livestock will be tomorrow afternoon, as well as judging the food and nutrition exhibits, clover kids exhibits will be judged from 2 to 5pm, horticulture, floriculture and wildlife exhibits will be judged at 6:30 – and the cake decorating contest is slated to start at 7. More judging of exhibits continues into Tuesday, along with livestock check-ins. The schedule of events for the fair, which officially begins Thursday, can be found online at cumingcountyfair.com.
