Magnus Henrich Stover, 90 years old, of Oakland, Nebraska, passed away on July 12, 2026, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, Nebraska.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Uehling, NE. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Burial Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, NE. Memorials suggested Uehling Fire and Rescue. Pelan Funeral Services of Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.

Magnus Henrich Stover was born on June 16, 1936, to Adolf and Emma (Havekost) Stover at their home in rural Scribner, Nebraska. He passed away on July 12, 2026, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, Nebraska.

Magnus graduated from Uehling High School in 1954. He married Janice Elaine Von Essen on November 3, 1957, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland, Nebraska. To this union were born four sons: Gary, Ron, Dean, and Brian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald Stover; and grandson, Brett Stover.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; son, Gary (Gay) Stover of Columbus, NE, and their family, Hailee (Kyle) Luckey and their children, Boston Luckey and Bodey Luckey of Columbus, and Morgan (Nik) Austin, and their children, Luke Austin, Lane Austin and Lucy Austin of Norfolk, NE; son, Ron (Robyn) Stover of Elkhorn, NE, and their family, Ben Pope and Sarah Pope of Kansas City, MO, Jena (Eric) Seitz of Fremont, NE, Kilie (Tim) Donovan of Omaha, NE, and Karisa (Ryan) Hajek of Omaha; son, Dean (Sherry) Stover of Uehling, NE; son, Brian Stover of Hooper, NE, and his family, Caiden Stover (special friend Lesli Cullen) and her son, Joe Cullen of Hooper; and brother, Irvin Stover of Fremont.

Magnus’ greatest love was Jesus. His last words were, “I thank God, Jesus, my parents, my wife, my sons, and all our other family members and friends.”
