Craig A. Doescher, 72, of Beemer


Funeral services for Craig A. Doescher age 72 of Beemer, NE will be on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer with Pastor Michael Belinsky officiating. Interment will be in the Beemer Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Beemer American Legion Hall. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Craig passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Pender Community Health in Pender, NE.

Craig Allen Doescher was born on October 6, 1953 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE to Ally and Mackie (Eggers) Doescher.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE.  Craig attended Cuming County Rural School and graduated from Beemer High School in 1971.  Craig started working in construction after high school and later formed CD Construction, also owning and operating Beemer Lumber, where he specialized in cabinetry.

On July 27, 1973, he was united in marriage to Kris Thompson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE and to this union two daughters were born, Dawn and Tara.

Craig was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, serving as a trustee.  He was an integral part of the AA community in Northeast Nebraska, celebrating 39 years of sobriety.

He enjoyed everything outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and going to his own timber ground to cut firewood.  After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Kris of Beemer, NE and their daughters:

Dawn and Scott Peatrowsky of Fremont, NE and daughter-Faith

Tara and Ernie Fierro of Elkhorn, NE and children-Keegan, Manny, and Mĩa

He is also survived by many cousins.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents-Ally and Mackie Doescher.
