July 8, 2026 (Norfolk, Neb.) — Weather permitting, on Wednesday, July 15th, Highway 57 (N-57) will close north of Highway 20 (US-20) near Belden, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge and railroad crossing work. Traffic will be detoured to US-20 and N-59. Anticipated completion is mid-to-late August. Additional work will continue under traffic. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
