Work will begin on N-110 between N-35 and US-20

July 2, 2026 (Norfolk, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin on Monday on Nebraska Highway 110 (N-110), between Nebraska Highway 35 (N-35) and U.S. Highway 20 (US-20), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, is the prime contractor. Project includes culvert work, concrete pavement repair and resurfacing the roadway. During the initial phase of construction, traffic will be maintained with a pilot vehicle and flaggers. Later in the project, N-110 will be closed for about a month. The closure is anticipated to begin in late July. During the closure, traffic will be detoured via N-35, US-75, and US-20. Anticipated completion is late autumn of this year. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
