With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Terrance Saner, 83, who entered the presence of our Heavenly Father on June 27th, 2026, at Oakland Heights and Assisted Living. He lived a full life of earthly blessings, marked by a loving and devoted wife, an ever-expanding family, and a community of fellowship. Funeral Service will be 10:30am on Thursday, July 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point with Reverend John Gierke officiating. The funeral will be live streamed on the Stokely Funeral Home Facebook page at facebook.com/stokelyfuneralhome. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery with lunch following at the church hall. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point. Terry was born on December 23, 1942, in West Point to Vincent and Eileen (Andresen) Saner. He was raised in West Point and attended St. Paul Lutheran School, where he met his wife, Ruth Ann Reppert, in first grade. They married on June 9, 1963.
When he was eight, his father passed away, and in the Lord’s perfect time, his mother remarried Arnold Meyer, who shaped Terry’s carpentry skills. Terry built a life rich in faith and family. He built a foundation of hard work and dedication at Meyer Building Company. His talent and care are evident in the community of West Point and in the homes of his family.
He loved to tease and joke, but ultimately wanted to take care of everyone, not as a burden but as a privilege. He was always planning the next trip or the next project, consistently on to the next adventure! He enjoyed cheering on the Huskers – win or lose, taking trips to Disney World with his family, and spending the everyday blessings with Ruth Ann.
He dedicated his life to the Lord with a strong desire to serve wherever the Lord led him. In all that he did, he gave all glory to God. Spending his mornings with devotions and the Word, he can now rejoice in heaven face to face with the Lord, and I’m sure he would say it was awesome!
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann, daughters Tammy (Chris) Deeter of Lincoln, and Beth Maria (Pete) Kenow of Seward, son Michael (Gwen) of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren Rachel (Mike) Nullmeyer, Alex (Kim) Deeter, Nicholas (Dana) Deeter, Emelia (Mike) Kint, Maria (Logan) Ryan, Molly (Joseph) McWilliams, Victoria Kenow, Terry (Kayla) Kenow, Erich (Kaitlyn) Kenow, Samuel (Ashleigh) Saner, David Saner and 20 great-grands, Isla, Kyle, Luke, Lois, Naomi, Josie, Emmitt, Gus, Finnlee, Harvey, Calvin, Scottie Jo, Kinley, Bremer, Eloise, Daniel, Ezekiel, Presley, Lazarus, William and sister, Mary Ann Brooks of Omaha, and step-brother Larry Meyer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vincent Saner; step-father, Arnold Meyer; mother, Eileen Meyer; brother-in-law, Wayne Brooks; step-brother, Gail Meyer; and step-sister, Shirley Ann Jacobsen.
