A 14-year old girl was involved in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Stanton County about six miles North of Stanton on Ridge Road just before 6:00 a.m. Monday Morning. The girl was southbound when she lost control of her car on a gravel road and entered the east ditch and rolled onto its top. The girl was trapped inside the vehicle before being assisted and taken to Faith Regional Health Services by Norfolk Fire/Rescue with non-life threating injuries.
The girl was wearing a seatbelt, but the vehicle is a total loss. The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, and say speed and driver inexperience were contributing causes. The girl was on her way to a school weights program.
