Cuming County Board of Supervisors discuss possible merger with Stanton County for Emergency Management Services, accept resignation of CCED Executive Director David Branch, effective next year

The Cuming County Board of Supervisors met at the Courthouse in West Point Tuesday morning. The Board of Supervisors’ Mark Schweers says they discussed the possibility of joint Emergency Management Services with Stanton County.

Schweers says the Board of Supervisors also moved Wednesday, July 29th’s meeting to Monday, July 27th for end of the month reasons.

Schweers says they also accepted the resignation of Economic Development Executive Director David Branch, effective next year.

Most notably, Branch has been instrumental in a number of key housing projects in the County, including the Rivermist Subdivision Project currently going on in West Point, the Grandview Addition in Wisner, and the Rief Addition in Bancroft.

The next Board of Supervisors Meeting is set for Wednesday, June 24th at 1:00 p.m.
