Arlene K. Reeson, 92 yrs, of Cedar Bluffs, NE, passed away, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Shalimar Gardens in Fremont.
The funeral mass will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. The visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, June 15th, at Moser Memorial Chapel with a rosary said at 7:00 PM following the visitation.
Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in West Point, NE, at 1:30 PM on Tuesday.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bluffs Senior Center or St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs.
Arlene was born January 22, 1934, in rural Beemer, NE, to John and Mary (Buerman) Reeson. She graduated from Guardian Angels High School in West Point in 1951. She lived in Lyons for 27 years before moving to Cedar Bluffs, NE in 1981. She worked at Marianna which is a retirement village for Catholic Priests until retiring in 2020.
Arlene was active at the Cedar Bluffs Senior Center and a member of the Cedar Bluffs Community Club. She was involved in the parish altar societies. Arlene enjoyed baking and her specialty was peanut brittle and making pies. She volunteered as a bookkeeper at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Colon from 1990 until 2014.
Arlene is survived by her sister, Loretta Muhs of Clarkson, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anna (Freddie) Kappius and Leona Rubino; brothers, Art (Mary) Reeson, and Brother Leonard Reeson OSF; 3 nephews; and a niece.
