Funeral services for LeRoy Topp age 85 of Pilger, NE will be on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at The Rock Chapel and Museum in Pilger, NE. Interment will be in the Pilger Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Cooper Community Center in Pilger. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Rock Chapel and will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is assisting the family with the arrangements.
LeRoy passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at his home.
LeRoy Albert Topp was born September 21, 1940 in Wayne Co., NE to Albert and Lavina (Giese) Topp. He grew up Wayne County, attending Wayne County Rural School and graduated from Pilger High School in 1957.
On April 27, 1959, he was united in marriage to Carol Kahny in Bonneville, ID. The couple farmed and raised their family northwest of Pilger.
LeRoy was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pilger. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and participating in tractor rides with them. He also enjoyed attending local stock car races on a weekly basis with his son Dustin. He never missed any of the grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities. He loved spending time in his shop, turning scrap metal into toy tractors.

Several nieces and nephews also survive LeRoy.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents-Albert and Lavina Topp, wife-Carol Topp, son-Gene Topp, and brother-Merlin Topp.
