Marvin C. McDonald, 76, of Rising City


Marvin C. McDonald, 76, of Rising City, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home near Rising City.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Kracl Funeral Chapel, David City with Jerry L. Kracl speaker. Visitation will be Monday, at 10:00 a.m. till service time of service at the chapel, following a short service, graveside services with be at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Bellwood. Memorials to the family for future designation. Kracl Funeral Chapel of David City is in charge of arrangements.

Marvin was born April 13, 1948 in David City, Nebraska to Harry and Ella (Hill) McDonald. Marvin graduated from Benson High School in Omaha in 1967. He served in the United States Air Force from February 28, 1968 to February 25, 1972, serving in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic. While in the Air Force Marvin earned the Air Force Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal and the Vietnam service medal. He has worked at Behlen Manufacturing in Columbus for 25 years. Marvin has lived on his acreage near Rising City since 2015.

He is survived by his brother Melvin of Bellwood, and cousin Judy Svoboda. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents half sister Karen McDonald.
